Falcon 3, soon?

there is no option to send audio to the integreated audio mixer!?
every sound below has it´s own layer. But how do I get the sound channels to the mixer?

This is a new feature, I don't know how to use it yet. Maybe someone else has used it already and got it working?
 
JUst heard from a fellow and he's got the MIDI out problems in ProTools (AAX), Digital Performer (au & vst 3) and Studio One (vst3). And a friend of mine isn't even seeing the MIDI out module in PT (he's on Windows).
 
I am always slow at responding but as it was talked a bit earlier about using Falcon more in a hybrid approach and not just the synth stuff, but take advantage of all the great stuff you can do with sampled content.
Simon is of course master at this and always in awe when I hear his work and see him doing his magic :D

I recorded a session where I am noodling a bit with some celeste recordings. I only used one set of round robins for this video (recorded 4), but it used the 4 dynamic layers and just started messing with it a bit to give some nice movement and some "blosseming" effect.
I combined this with also using a the texture oscilator and the new string synth engine (which I did touch for the first time).

The beginning is silent as I am not good in talking and noodling, but will try it maybe next time, but if you don't hear anything in the first bit, nothing is wrong ;)

 
Tonight was going to be the night..two beers, enough cash to buy Falcon 3, all hyped up for (yet another) new toy! So I go to UVI, put it in the cart, and that great deal at $199 becomes $287 Cad, even though Paypals' exchange rate calculator gave me an amount of $267 including fees..Better than Pepto Bismol at curing GAS! I wonder if rates go up on a Saturday night, when people have a couple of drinks and buy stuff online. I'm going to try it on different days, before the sale is over, to see if I can get a "bargain".

I hear ya! PayPal doesn't even adhere to its own conversion rates--disappointing when I *think* I have a ProjectSAM or an Orchestral Tools purchase all figured out, only to be taken aback when I see the final price in my PayPal account

I would love to be able to see a price in U$D (a la Spitfire Audio's cart), but I don't see any way around it

You can check your local vs USD total if you're using PayPal. Just click, IIRC, "currency options" before you OK the purchase.

If it's not to your liking you can back out at that point.

Yeah, it's somewhat disappointing. It's become more sensible to just buy stuff with my Credit Card now instead of using Paypal. The Paypal conversion rates are through the roof.
 
To ProTools users:
Found an answer for getting MIDI out in Falcon 3 to work. In this article they use Native Instruments plugins but the procedure is the same for F3. I know because I tried it and it works for both softsynths on a PT track insert as well as an external hardware synth. NOthing figured out yet for standalone F3 usage.

Welcome to Falconry! I have recently been discovering that 3.0 has had some major changes to 2.8, so suddenly my knowledge is a bit out of date; but it is definitely a lot of fun!

Thanks Bee! Been waiting for this one (as you know!) and can't wait to dig in and discover! Making my way through the expansions right now. Honestly they all sound so great it's hard to choose! haha

It's crazy they made big changes from 2.8! What are a couple of things that have thrown you a curve ball? Good changes?
 
Oops! Thought I downloaded Falcon but I only downloaded the patches. hehe Grabbed 6 Expansions too! What a crazy deal! Seriously! UVI allowing the voucher with the deal is quite wonderful of them! Super excited as this (slowly and painfully!) downloads! : )
