[Narrator: TheHansen01 was indeed missing something]The expansions are BOGOF during the current sale, so you put in 6, it comes to €117. Minus the €100 Falcon voucher, you get to €17 total.

What's confusing me is I'm not sure how much value the expansions will bring me, and whether I'd be better off waiting for the BF sale and using it on something like Quadra Traveller.[Narrator: TheHansen01 was indeed missing something]
I had the same exact thought, but instead of Quadra Traveler, I'm looking at Percussion Factory. I purchased the FL/UVI bundle earlier this year, I REALLY like Drum Designer a lot. I think Perc Fact could be an amazing purchase to completely round out the ability to quickly produce all manners of drums and percussion in an intuitive, fun workflow. What's confusing me is I'm not sure how much value the expansions will bring me, and whether I'd be better off waiting for the BF sale and using it on something like Quadra Traveller.
Drum Designer is great, though I haven't used it anywhere near as much as I thought I would, as I've been going through a period of augmenting acoustic drums, rather than building them from the ground up, since I got it. I seem to be shifting to a more electronica leaning phase at the moment, so I suspect that DD will be getting more regular outings. Looking forward to pairing it with Falcons MIDI generators, and comparing to HY-Plugins offerings.I had the same exact thought, but instead of Quadra Traveler, I'm looking at Percussion Factory. Good thinking IMO. You get plenty of excellent presets with Falcon. I rarely use the expansions. What's confusing me is I'm not sure how much value the expansions will bring me, and whether I'd be better off waiting for the BF sale and using it on something like Quadra Traveller.
The YouTube videos that mention MIDI out don't really show where to put it. The manual isn't any better although from what I got from a UVI person that responded to my trouble ticket supposedly that's being worked on. That being said where I put it is (looking at the events tab) after the script processor that I want the MIDI from. The MIDI out processor can be drug in from the right sidebar tab that has the tied notes (not sure what it's called). The other way to insert the MIDI is when you're in the 'events' tab click the plus (+) sign in event bar and add it there.I know its been mentioned a few times in here but still unsure from and where to put the midi out to get this working (for example for the percussion factory). So in anyone has a youtube link (preferable short on low level) would be appreciated
I will for sure. Those two are still on my radar, as is definitely Synth Anthology 4, which will replace my Arturia V Collection (I would rather have samples of old synthesizers than trying to learn to use all these things, honestly).Did you like Ether Fields? If so, have a look at Fluidity and Plurality.
SA 4...Totally worth it.I will for sure. Those two are still on my radar, as is definitely Synth Anthology 4, which will replace my Arturia V Collection (I would rather have samples of old synthesizers than trying to learn to use all these things, honestly).
Now for a little trip down memory lane:
I remembered I still have the license for the old MachFive on my iLok. For the kiddies here: MachFive was Falcon before it was Falcon. It was an instrument that was created by UVI but published by MOTU, as a companion instrument to Digital Performer. It came bundled with some fantastic libraries, including XtremeFX (which you can still buy and is VERY good), the Fazioli Grand (one of the most beautifully sampled pianos ever), and even some sampled guitars, bass and even an upright, by our esteemed friends at AmpleSound!
Great instruments, and I am downloading these right now again because they are fully compatible with Falcon (as Falcon deep down still IS MachFive).
Good times ahead!
If someone who's on the fence about Falcon you might want to look up on YouTube some Mach Five videos to see how good the pitch and time stretch algos sound.I will for sure. Thanks . Will try this. The YouTube videos that mention MIDI out don't really show where to put it. World Suite 2 is probably the most enticing thing, in terms of my Electro-Acoustic Fcuk Genre approach to things, but I still have no idea about how the soundwares I have unfold further in Falcon than in Workstation, so I need to spend a little more time getting to grips with it all.Good thinking IMO. You get plenty of excellent presets with Falcon. I rarely use the expansions.
I wish there were more library options for "old-school" synth sounds.
Polysynth, pads, brass, bass and leads spring to mind.
I used the €100 voucher to pick up Synth Anthology 4 which covers that ground pretty well.I wish there were more library options for "old-school" synth sounds.

Sigh.....dont work for me, maybe I am missing something obvious, so would be great if anyone had any advice what I missedThanks . Will try this.
