Thanks, I didn't know there was a manual, I remember having to watch Chinese videos with subtitles...Groups - Synthesizer V Studio Unofficial User Manual

The Dreamtonics videos are in Japanese ... time for a good alternative:Thanks, I didn't know there was a manual, I remember having to watch Chinese videos with subtitles...
Word of warning on this: even though my current project has Solaria in manual mode, her performance has changed - apparently due to to updates to vibrato.1.11.0b3 (Beta) is out...

A lot of new features and bug fixes in this update. The deep ARA integration with DAW's looks interesting.
Man, every time. I pretty much stopped updating around v10,-something because it mucked up old projects. There really should be a way to stop that, or at least revert back to previous versions.Word of warning on this: even though my current project has Solaria in manual mode, her performance has changed - apparently due to to updates to vibrato.
I hope to find a way to get this back under control because there's too much vibrato going on now.
Hayden has surprised me, and for a ballad, I would rather use him than Saros. They both have good belts, and Saros has a great voice for a lot of things, but I think Hayden does soft better, especially in the mid/high register. Very low down he can sound a bit boring.I’m interested in writing ballads. I’m looking for an English-speaking male voice (already have Kevin) and deciding between Saros and Hayden. I’m leaning toward Hayden because I think that he sounds more realistic (in my opinion) Any thoughts?
Thanks for this information. Do you agree that Hayden sounds more realistic?Hayden has surprised me, and for a ballad, I would rather use him than Saros. I would call it more natural and smoother for ballads. I do think Saros sounds great, but I don't think their strength is in ballads. Here's the one I'm working on. I will admit that I wrote this melody with Hayden loaded and perhaps some refinement of Vocal Modes/Parameters would improve Saros' audio quality in this sample but I've tried to do something of a rough match of Saros to Hayden and in any event it wouldn't significantly change the delivery. To my ears, Saros is too dramatic, and I suppose musical theatre, compared to Hayden. Thanks for this information. Do you agree that Hayden sounds more realistic?

I recently posted this up. I was surprised at Saros' versatility down low. And I think it works well here. The trick is, I think, that every voice has a sweet spot but that may be more contingent on the shapes and intention of the melodies rather than the actual pitch range. After all, they all come with recommended ranges but not every melody may suit. Just a thought.I hear what you’re saying. They both sound very good. I agree that Hayden is smoother. He sounds better at the beginning, and Saros sounds better in the second part.
That's a very beautiful song! Looking forward to listen to it when it's finished.I would call it more natural and smoother for ballads. I guess that I will have to go with the standard Vi-Control answer...buy both of them! That's a very beautiful song! Looking forward to listen to it when it's finished.
And thank you for sharing the comparison!
IMHO, it's a great demonstration for how they have completely different approaches. I feel that Saros sound more passionate and hopeful about the matter while Hayden sounds a tad quiet, maybe even disillusioned (although I actually like his voice better).
In the end, it might all come down to what kind of atmosphere you want for your songs. Both voicebanks have their pros and cons. Since there don't seem to be any new English male voicebanks in the pipeline, me, too, I'll have to bring myself to make the hard decision sooner or later these days...
Anyone of you work with Ryo lately? From what I'm hearing of the new raw demos on Dreamtonics' website, his English seems to have improved quite a bit...
And to my ears Hayden sounds like a very young boygroup singer ... I hate it and much prefer SarosTo my ears, Saros is too dramatic, ...
I also hate the very young boyband sound (or the theatrical singer sound) that Haydn & Saros possess. And to my ears Hayden sounds like a very young boygroup singer ... I hate it and much prefer Saros
No offence intended, just a different personal taste.
PS: Could you do me a favor? I would like to hear, how Hayden would sound with a darker voice. Could you post this song again with Hayden's Gender slider set to +0.300 ?
That's why I asked for an example of Hayden with a deeper voice.I also hate the very young boyband sound (or the theatrical singer sound) that Haydn & Saros possess.
Now that sounds like Asterian. Oh no! Another vocal choice! That's why I asked for an example of Hayden with a deeper voice.
In my current project I use Saros with the voice set to Dark & Passionate and Gender to +0.300 ... sounds superb for my taste. But the vibrato also needs to be turned down to 50%.
PS: Here's Saros's demo song with these settings (except lowered vibrato), plus Breathiness set to +0.100

I agree with the boyband sentiment. I think it suits the song, but yes, of course its personal taste. And to my ears Hayden sounds like a very young boygroup singer ... I hate it and much prefer Saros
