Adam Szabo's Solaris Walkthrough

I hadn’t seen any reviews of Adam Szabo’s Solaris here, and thought I’d share this quick walkthrough I had done recently. It’s Windows only, unfortunately, but for a free reverb it’s phenomenal. I just stumbled across it a few weeks ago when I was looking over the winners of the 2023 KVR challenges. It’s another big ambient shimmer verb but has some nice filters and 2 independent shimmers. Same, I would buy the Viper plugin immediately, I want it on Mac so bad
It's not the same but if you're after the 90s VA sound there's Discovery which emulates the Nord Lead. They just released v8 a couple of days ago.

Been interested in this one for awhile now!! I’ll give it a more in-depth look

It's such a wonderful plug-in. Sounds so smooth! And to get that for free is beyond nice.

Tip: everyone is talking about Viper, but pair this one with his other plugin: JP6k! It's a deceptively simple plugin but it is so, SO good at what it does!

It is singularly focussed on the classic supersaw sound. Conversely: no other plugin in my opinion does THAT sound as well.

Sometimes less IS more!

I had it when it first came out v1 but sounded too thin. This latest version is sounding pretty good.

DAMN! JP6K is luuuuuuush, if you are looking for that particular sound. I'm on a buying hiatus right now but yeah. Hrrrrrrm. Hot DAMN.

<Glances over at huge pile of synths and soundsets I already bought hunting for this sound 😂>

I rather would buy a JT 4000

Takes up too much room :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. For reals though - I have a micro studio so for me everything is ITB.

EDIT: OK, everything is ITB except for my lead and bass guitars, 88 key keyboard, an old broken WEM copycat, oh and a wafer thin JX8P  But that all fits nicely under the bed hahaha
